Overview of the Colonias (the 'Burbs)

Playa La Boquita anchorage in Santiago, near the wreck, is located near the housing complex of Club Santiago. The main road through Club Santiago leads to an intersection with the major boulevard paralleling the coast called Madrid. The La Boquita beach also leads to the same boulevard, connecting at El Indio restaurant. Proceding south on Madrid Blvd. one passes through the colonias of Santiago, Salagua, and Las Brisas in the direction of Centro Manzanillo.

Stan's hint about locating addresses...

"Have you ever wondered why you may run into the same street name many times over without having left what you consider to be the main city? Manzanillo is divided into neighborhoods called colonias. Street names are ‘controlled’ at the colonia level, not at the city level. Therefore, if you are looking for a specific address, you must locate the street unique to that colonia because it is quite likely the name is used in other colonias as well. This is absolutely critical when using street maps."
